Commemorating Fred and Juelle Fisher’s wedding in 1975, the vineyard is not only an integral part of the winery, but also of our family’s life on the mountain.
First planted in 1973, Wedding Vineyard graces a south facing slope in front of our original Mountain Estate winery, running the length of our secluded estate. Nine acres were replanted in 2002 under the careful guidance of David Abreu: seven blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon (clone 337 and See clone, among others), one block of Petit Verdot (clone 400) and one block of Cabernet Franc (clone 327). The final remaining block was replanted in 2010 (Wiemer clone).

The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Wedding Vineyard is dark, dense and enveloping, with real sense of richness and gravitas. Inky dark fruit, scorched earth, cedar, tobacco, licorice, menthol and incense all build in a potent, sumptuous Cabernet Sauvignon that balances fruit intensity with structure. A dollop of co-fermented Petit Verdot adds character. Unctuous, dense and bursting with explosive energy, the 2017 is another brilliant wine in this range from the Fisher family.
