Commemorating Fred and Juelle Fisher’s wedding in 1975, the vineyard is not only an integral part of the winery, but also of our family’s life on the mountain.
First planted in 1973, Wedding Vineyard graces a south facing slope in front of our original Mountain Estate winery, running the length of our secluded estate. Nine acres were replanted in 2002 under the careful guidance of David Abreu: seven blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon (clone 337 and See clone, among others), one block of Petit Verdot (clone 400) and one block of Cabernet Franc (clone 327). The final remaining block was replanted in 2010 (Wiemer clone).

2016 Wedding Vineyard offers another striking expression of this multi-faceted Spring Mountain site. A wine of density, power and layers of flavor, the 2016 is fabulous. Bright floral notes develop with time in the glass, adding perfume, lift and sensuality to a core of dark cherry, plum, rose petal, lavender and spice. The Wedding Cabernet is often co-fermented with some Petit Verdot, an approach that seems to work especially well here.
