Commemorating Fred and Juelle Fisher’s wedding in 1975, the vineyard is not only an integral part of the winery, but also of our family’s life on the mountain.
First planted in 1973, Wedding Vineyard graces a south facing slope in front of our original Mountain Estate winery, running the length of our secluded estate. Nine acres were replanted in 2002 under the careful guidance of David Abreu: seven blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon (clone 337 and See clone, among others), one block of Petit Verdot (clone 400) and one block of Cabernet Franc (clone 327). The final remaining block was replanted in 2010 (Wiemer clone).

Aromas of dark cocao, casise and violet set the stage for this left bank styled wine. Cedar box, graphite, pen ink, slate, tobacco and wood resin meld beautifully together. Slight fruit precursors give way to an ever changing pallet of complex and brooding floral and forest floor notes. Black currant, sandalwood, bay leaves and oak resin round out the pallet which finishes with polished, fine grain tannins.
