Commemorating Fred and Juelle Fisher’s wedding in 1975, the vineyard is not only an integral part of the winery, but also of our family’s life on the mountain.
First planted in 1973, Wedding Vineyard graces a south facing slope in front of our original Mountain Estate winery, running the length of our secluded estate. Nine acres were replanted in 2002 under the careful guidance of David Abreu: seven blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon (clone 337 and See clone, among others), one block of Petit Verdot (clone 400) and one block of Cabernet Franc (clone 327). The final remaining block was replanted in 2010 (Wiemer clone).

Blackberry, cedar, blueberry, cocoa powder, candied violet, cardamom sprice emanate from the glass. This wine explodes with full big chewy flavors of black cherry, dark chocolate, and plum. Fabulous cedar, pencil shavings mingle with brambly fresh black fruits and underlying wet stone and forest floor flavors that undeniably pinpoint this wine's ultimate mountain terroir. The 2009 Wedding Vineyard will age extremely well and will improve over the next 10-15 years.
