First planted in 1973, Wedding Vineyard graces a south facing slope in front of our original Mountain Estate winery, running the length of our secluded estate. Nine acres were replanted in 2002 under the careful guidance of David Abreu: seven blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon (clone 337 and See clone, among others), one block of Petit Verdot (clone 400) and one block of Cabernet Franc (clone 327). The final remaining block was replanted in 2010 (Wiemer clone).

Inky ruby. A potent, highly aromatic bouquet of red- and blackcurrant, cherry compote, licorice pastille, cola and smoky Indian spices. Impressively complex and densely packed, offering sweet dark berry and bitter cherry flavors and exotic notes of candied flowers and peppery spices. For all this wine’s density it comes off as graceful and precise, finishing with lingering floral and dark fruit notes. Give it at least a decade in the cellar.
