The Hidden Terrace Vineyard is a well-kept secret sequestered on a steep south-facing slope at the edge of our Mountain Estate.
Scratched into a ravine and farmed entirely by hand due to the severe slopes, this small vineyard is composed of rare tuff (volcanic ash) soil that produces Syrah of intense concentration and varietal distinction. Extremely low yields limit production of this wine to just a handful of barrels each vintage.

Our most alluring Syrah to date! The 2008 is loaded with ripe cherry fruit aromas complimented by cracked white pepper, nutmeg and freshly roasted coffee bean. The pallet meets all expectations delivering whopping fruit best described as dark plum and raspberry coulis; the dense concentration of flavors and tannins are layered, providing a good indication that this wine will age with the best of them.
