Production Details
- 100% Chardonnay
- Harvested August 24th through September 7th
- Whole cluster sorted, then lightly pressed
- Juice cold settled for 24 hours and moved to barrel by gravity
- Native fermented with no added yeasts
- Fermented and aged surlie 18 months in French oak barrels (52% new)
- No sulfite additions at harvest or during aging
- Lees stirred twice monthly for 16 months
- Bottled unfined and unfiltered

Mountain Estate Vineyard
Planted in 1999, our Mountain Estate Vineyard, Chardonnay, is rooted in steep, rocky soils at 1,300 feet elevation, and planted with the 45 degree fall line on our only northeast-facing slope. Owing to this particular aspect, these vines receive cooler morning light and minimal exposure to any hot afternoon sun, which has proven ideal for the gradual ripening and maximum maturation of Chardonnay grapes.
