The 2014 Cabernet Franc emerges from a parcel rich in clay and loam within the Wedding Vineyard. Varietal notes are allied to a deep expression of the estate's signatures in this bright, vibrant red. Like all of the 2014s, the Cabernet Franc has real depth and personality. There is plenty of intrigue here.

Fisher's 2009 Cabernet Franc Wedding Vineyard, also from Sonoma, is totally intriguing. A powerful reticent wine, the 2009 shows just hints of its overall potential today. At the same time, it is impossible to miss the wine's pure power, depth and structure. A wine for the patient, the 2009 should be cellared for at least a few years as the flavors are still quite primary and the tannins remain unsettled. The 2009 is shaping up to be a stunner.

Dark purple. Intense, pungent cherry and violet aromas are complicated by notes of botanical herbs and vanilla. Plush, palate-caressing dark fruit flavors pick up smokiness and spiciness with air, along with notes of sweet chewing tobacco and cola. Youthfully firm tannins add shape and grip to the very long, spicy finish.
