SONOMA COUNTY

Mountain Estate Vineyard, Chardonnay

The Mountain Estate Chardonnay vines grown on a steep, rocky, Northeast-facing slope at an average of 1,300 feet, receiving early morning sun and minimal exposure to hot afternoon temperatures. Planted in 1999, this vineyard has proven ideal for the gradual ripening and maximum maturation of Chardonnay grapes.

Tasting Notes

The 2016 Mountain Estate Vineyard bursts from the glass boasting bright white floral and jasmine aromas that mingle with hints of limestone minerality. On the palate, this bold Chardonnay remains lively with flavors of Key lime citrus, lemon curd and subtle, toasted hazelnut richness. This vintage shows beautiful restraint with a long, lingering finish.
